Harper for Kids
Youth Character Development Program
The Dante's Boys Foundation (DBF) provides financial support to organizations like Harper for Kids that deliver programs for under-served youths to teach valuable life lessons through athletics.
Through an exciting partnership the University of San Francisco athletics, Harper for Kids, USF coaches and over 150 student-athletes have been taking their life skills programs to local schools. Harper for Kids administers a youth character development program for children based on the philosophy of iconic UCLA coach John Wooden and his famed Pyramid of Success.
USF student-athletes serve as positive role models and coaches, bringing Harper for Kids program directly to the kids during their physical education classes. The Dons and Harper for Kids have been able to bring its message to children in Alamo, Chinese Immersion, Claire Lilienthal, Daniel Webster, Francis Scott Key, Gordon Lau, McKinley, Oakland Military Institute, Robert Louis Stevenson, Sunset, Yick Wo Alternative, Tenderloin Community and Cabrillo schools.
